2020 was a year that none of us expected, with a global pandemic that turned our lives, jobs and communities upside down. Two highlights for e92plus in the 2020 CRN Awards
2020 is a year like no other, and the CRN Awards were no different. One of the undoubted highlights of the IT channel calendar, normally a dark night in November sees over 1,500 people descend on Battersea Park to celebrate the great achievements of their company, customers and partners, to meet up with friends old and new, and maybe consume the odd drink or two. In Covid-19 times, of course, there’s no option for a physical event. However, the show must go on and the CRN Awards went virtual. It was a great show as ever, if a little different, and excellently hosted by Colin Murray (who as a radio presenter, at least has experience of not seeing his audience). After a fantastic run of success (including winning awards for the last 3 years in a row), e92plus were shortlisted once again – this time for Security Distributor of the Year and overall Distributor of the Year (sub £250m turnover). Sadly, we were beaten to the post in two of the most competitive, highly fought categories, not least against much larger competitors. However, we were incredibly proud to be Highly Commended in both categories, which is fantastic recognition of our growth and success, and the commitment we have to providing outstanding service to our partners, and continuing to innovate as we transform what distribution brings to the channel for cybersecurity and cloud solutions.
