e92msp, the dedicated managed services division of leading cybersecurity VAD e92plus, have announced their partnership with Lookout, focused on bringing their market leading mobile security to the MSP and MSSP community with a unique offering.

The current threat landscape has seen a significant pivot to mobile devices in 2020, in particular with the rise of remote working and the use of personal devices. The 2020 Lookout Mobile Phishing Spotlight Report revealed a 37% increase in mobile phishing at the start of 2020 compared to the end of 2019, with costs of up to $35 million per incident for organisations with 10,000 mobile devices.

For MSPs, adding mobile security is a natural complement to endpoint security and management services. Mobile is a natural part of our daily workflows, and Lookout integrates with apps such as Office365 and Google G-Suite, providing protection whether the data is being accessed on a corporate-owned or an unmanaged personal device.

For e92msp, the partnership with Lookout offers significant opportunities to their partner community. Lookout have a strong channel-first approach, but historically have focused on subscription licences for enterprise organisations. Working with e92msp, MSPs and MSSPs can now enjoy access to their platform as well as enjoying consumption billing, simple customer on-boarding and the ability to easily deploy Lookout’s technology to customers using mobile device.

Jamie Pearce, Sales Director of e92msp, commented that “Lookout have been widely recognised as a market leader, and have been named a leader in Mobile Threat Management Software by the IDC MarketScape for the third consecutive year (1). We’re excited to be bringing that heritage and expertise to our MSP community, enabling them to offer enterprise class technology, and bringing our expertise and services to help Lookout build their managed services community”.

With growth of nearly 250% in the past year, Lookout are growing significantly and they now protect nearly 200 million devices worldwide. Organisations are now realising that users are the new perimeter, and their traditional security tools no longer provide the protection needed. Lockdown saw a significant rise in VPN, but with up to two thirds of personal devices not using a VPN of any form, those cloud and SaaS apps can be compromised if a phishing attack is successful on an employee’s personal mobile or tablet.
