e92spark launched to help disrupt the cyber space as e92plus expand its portfolio
by Neil Langridge
This initiative highlights the challenges for both customers looking to invest in the right cybersecurity technology to protect their organisations, and for partners looking for a competitive advantage while also ensuring they don’t back a solution that won’t deliver for their or their customers.
Leading channel analyst Canalys estimate that there around 6,500 cybersecurity vendors globally, and while the largest 5 vendors cover 34% of sales, that leaves over $13 billion of channel business available – representing a huge total addressable market for VARs and MSPs, but also a complex challenge to pick the option.
“With over 35 years in the channel, e92plus has established ourselves as a trusted advisor to our partners” explains Mukesh Gupta, CEO of e92plus. “While our value to partners includes all the benefits you’d expect from a value-added distributor, a key element has been our advice and expertise on what the next big thing in cybersecurity will be, and where we see growth in the market – and which technologies our partners should be looking to on-board”.
The analyst firm Gartner highlighted that 75% of organisations in key markets are looking to consolidate their security vendors, especially those that offer either a platform play, or can integrate with other solutions across their network and cloud infrastructure. Yet vendor sprawl continues, with the majority of organisations expecting to grow their vendor stack due to growth in, and diversity of, new cyber-attacks and techniques. This leaves opportunities for new vendors to address that challenge.
For partners, e92spark offers a simplified way to understand what’s next in the world of cybersecurity, and how to provide essential differentiation from their competitors.
“e92spark is all about giving our partners early access to the most exciting and disruptive cybersecurity technologies in the market” explains Darryl Whiteman, Vendor Alliances at e92spark. “By connecting innovation with opportunity, we’re helping partners differentiate, stay competitive, and drive new business revenue. It’s very difficult to know which technology to back, so we’re providing that peace of mind, and with a dedicated division we have absolute focus on looking ahead to what’s coming next without having to worry about legacy business”.
As threats evolve so quickly and AI allows for the scale and complexity of attacks to increase, new tools are needed to counter that risk, while also embracing the opportunities around cloud, marketplaces, managed services and more integrated ecosystems. With e92spark, partners can seize that opportunity.
